Title:

Her Rejected Mate's Revenge

Author:

millie_evans

Theme:

Girl Power - Chasing Her Apollo

Blurb:

She can't find out what actually happened, she doesn't believe it was an accident, she knows they were killed. She is hell bent on finding out the truth. 🔸Editors' Feedback:

This is the story of the female protagonist's revenge, but it doesn't quite fit the "Chasing Her Apollo" main-line. When constructing a "Chasing Her Apollo" story, your plot should be focused on how the female-lead takes the initiative in chasing the male-lead. From the story, readers need to see her dominance and courage as a kickass heroine in pursuit of her lover, despite the major gap in identity, social status, occupation and family background between them. The key is to subvert more traditional patriarchal sensibilities in favor of a reversal of gender norms. There are plenty of examples in the video and on the course's Girl Power theme page for reference.

Title:

My Two Alpha Billionaires

Author:

Claire Howard

Theme:

Fall for a Billionaire - Romantic-Suspense

Blurb:

Jane Moon a sweet unassuming librarian, finds herself literally dumped at the alter by Gary Collins and ends up going on her honeymoon on her own. Billionaire Neil Parker has been pushed by his family to take some time off, hence he ends up at the same place as Jane. It is Neil who finds out exactly who her ex is, but he keeps it secret from Jane. He also keeps his own secret, one that may change everything. He is a werewolf and not just a werewolf, an Alpha from that has no Luna...(Read More...)

🔸Editors' Feedback:

A diabolical plot doesn't inherently make a story suspenseful; this is a common misconception amongst many authors. While the synopsis presents us with a lot of unanswered questions, it doesn't really set the tone with suspenseful elements, such as an unsolved murder, a killer on the run, the victim under siege, dark secrets revealed, or a mysterious backstory, etc. All these can contribute to creating the atmosphere of intrigue necessary for a Romantic-Suspense but are missing from this story, so it doesn't really meet the criteria for this theme in the contest.

Title:

The Lavender-Eyed Omega

Author:

KavyaAgnihotri

Theme:

Dare to Be a Teen - Meet My Hybrid Girl

Blurb:

Alexina Clarke, the nineteen-year ordinary omega who planned to escape from her stepparents, ended up as a scapegoat to protect her stepparents from the clutches of Alastair Maynard, the heartless devil, and king of Wrisian. She was sent as a bride instead of her stepsisters to Alastair who hated omegas to his guts due to his past traumatic experience, tricking him...(Read More...)

🔸Editors' Feedback:

The synopsis is just fine for a typical Omegaverse tale, with plenty of twists and turns as the sparkling interactions between the hero and heroine build up. However, the hybrid element, especially for the female lead is not clearly shown. While the hero's hybrid identity is more prominent, we don't really see the "hybrid girl" elements pushing the story forward as we would except for stories in this mainline. All we know is that she's a different kind of werewolf. This book may not fit the chosen theme for the contest as is.

The selected authors will also receive 300 bonus each. Keep up the good work!
